Dr. Amit Shah is a national leader in the field of vascular surgery and limb salvage for over 10years. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is boarded certified in vascular surgery and certified in hyperbaric medicine.

Dr. Shah is the director of wound care at North Shore Health and Hyperbarics. He focuses on complex vascular cases and wounds and uses advanced therapies such as biologics and hyperbarics to help wound healing and amputation prevention. He has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals as well as presented nationally on advanced limb salvage techniques and wound care. He has spoke extensively on the merits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in surgical patients and advocates for its use throughout all the medical fields.

Dr Shah is a native New Yorker and has grown up most of his life on Long Island. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids traveling and staying active.
