Wound requires oxygen to stimulate and support wound healing.
The use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy can promote and accelerate wound healing by delivering oxygen under increased pressure to correct hypoxia (lack of oxygen at the wound site), enhance bacterial killing capacity, improve blood flow to the damaged tissue, and stimulate tissue repair.

Our treatment program encourages these essential components for successful wound healing:
- Improvement of Vascular Status
- Debridement When Indicated
- Appropriate Dressing
- Resolution of Infection
Our commitment to improving our patient’s healing and quality of life is top prority at North Shore Health and Hyperbarics.
